When we invited Nychos into elrow’art it was because his whole life’s work is about opening bodies and symbols to reveal what’s inside. Exactly what we try to do with spaces and people when we throw a party.

Growing up in a Viennese hunting family and obsessed with comics, heavy metal and graffiti, he developed a signature style of dissected, cross‑section and translucent figures: animals and characters whose skeletons, muscles and nerves are exposed in bright, outlandish colours. Together we decided to build a new universe around the ultimate symbol of renewal: the serpent.

Dance with the Serpent began as a base idea (a theme inspired by the movement of dancing and by snakes shedding their skins) and grew into a full‑scale elrow world launched at our 2023 Amnesia Ibiza Closing Party, where Nychos’ anatomical serpent sculptures curled across the room while Adam Beyer, Joris Voorn, Ilario Alicante and our residents drove a musical journey from dusk to dawn.

For Nychos, dance is “a state of meditation and ecstasy… a vibration that makes us happy and allows us to synchronise with ourselves, our surroundings and the great power of the Universe”. For us, that sentence became the brief, build a theme that explores the parallels of presumed opposites: animal and human, physical and metaphysical, dark and bright, life and death; and make it visceral enough that people feel those layers being shed on the dance floor.

On the business side, Dance with the Serpent has already become one of our best touring shows for 2023–202, a theme strong enough to justify the investment in large‑scale sculpture, custom décor and performer training across multiple markets and a clear statement of how elrow’art can keep evolving into new visual territories without losing the core of what we do.
