Concept & Story: elrow Creative Team - Rowsmic Carnival, the legend of Gía and the cosmic eclipse that awakens her planet once a year.
Creative Direction & World‑Building: elrow core creatives under Juan & Cruz, extending the elrow mythos into a full carnival planet where elements (earth, water, air, fire) and fantastical species converge.
Launch & Key Uses (2024–2026):
Announced as a new theme in the “Our Themes” family and pushed as the carnival flagship for XXL / Town formats.
Positioned as “carnaval electrónico” for elrow Town Reggio Emilia/Campovolo in Italy (2026 campaign).
Used as the rave‑carnival concept at Monegros Desert Festival and elrow Town Marbella in 2024 campaigns.
Typical Capacity & Scale:
XXL / Town editions: 20,000–30,000+ people in full‑day festival formats.
Large club / indoor arenas: 5,000–10,000 ravers for dedicated carnival dates (e.g., Spain carnival 2026 festival, única fecha carnaval).

New goddess‑centred stage architecture
Elemental scenic design (flames, light‑water cascades, surreal sculptures)
Expanded costume library for fantastical creatures and cross‑temporal characters
Music brief spanning euphoric house, techno and carnival‑leaning sounds
Highlighted
Rowsmic Carnival is one of the last original elrow themes still headlining major formats. The concept: a carnival in outer space. Cosmic chaos, colour and energy as the narrative engine.
Project Description
Rowsmic Carnival is one of the last original elrow themes. The creative direction has shifted entirely towards collaborations with international contemporary artists, but a handful of in-house universes built over the years still anchor key formats. Rowsmic Carnival is one of them.
The concept is straightforward: a carnival in outer space. Cosmic chaos, colour and energy as the narrative engine. Broad enough to programme any sound, specific enough that the visual language is always consistent and recognisable.
In Spain, Rowsmic Carnival is the main stage concept for elrow Town. It has evolved significantly since its first version. The 2025 redesign replaces the previous stage front, which was built in layered wood and read as flat, with a full inflatable structure. The result is a completely different visual impact. Where the old version looked like a painted backdrop, the new one reads like a 3D render coming at you.
The show also tours internationally as a festival stage format, including elrow Town Reggio Emilia in Italy and Monegros Desert Festival, where it operates as the carnival flagship within much larger multi-stage lineups.

Rowsmic Carnival includes live animation, actors, street theatre partnerships and large-scale puppetry.

We think of a main stage as an immersive show with actors, puppets, and more.
We think of a main stage as an immersive show with actors, puppets, and more.
The show integrates street theatre partnerships alongside the stage production. For recent editions, a French street theatre company brought a giant articulated dragonfly puppet mounted on a truck, the kind of element that works the crowd outside the venue and extends the world of the show beyond the stage itself.

Switching to inflatables for the stage front also solves a practical production problem. Inflatables are significantly easier to transport than wooden structures, which opens the door to more ambitious designs. Less weight and volume in the truck means more budget and space for the actual spectacle."
The stage front is one of the firsts in elrow's history built with inflatable parts.
